Ryan Langmaid: "This should be a great fight to start out a spectacular night of fights!"

With only 10 days left until SCC 3 we take a look at the very exciting Featherweight bout between Kui Gonsalves and Shorty Weikel.

SCC promoter and match maker Ryan Langmaid talks about the two, and tells us why you don't want to miss this great fight, that will start out a spectacular night of fights.

"In the first fight of the night we will get the privilege of seeing SCC 1 vet Kui Gonsalves taking on Marlin “Shorty” Weikel.

Kui Gonsalves made his SCC debut at SCC1 with a quick win over Tyrelle Olding. He stopped Olding at 1:24 in the very first round with strikes. Before that fight Kui had been on a long layoff of almost three years. As a coach at Xtreme Couture here in Las Vegas, he had been focusing more on training fighters and less on fighting himself. Now that he has stepped back in the cage and got rid of the ring rust, he is more than ready to get back in there with Shorty Weikel! Training fulltime out of Xtreme Couture will definitely have him ready for anyone he steps in the SCC cage with. With a record of 3-0 he is planning on keeping the undefeated streak alive and moving his way up the SCC ranks.

Marlin “Shorty” Weikel will be making his SCC debut this November. He comes from the Pacific Northwest where many top fighters have come from including Randy Couture, Matt Lindland, Chael Sonnen, Chris Leben, John Gunderson, and the list goes on and on. With a record of 8-2 as a professional, Shorty has been in some tough fights and hold titles in other shows. Weikel has much more experience in the cage as a professional, but knowing Gonsalves is from Xtreme Couture Shorty has to know that Kui has definitely been in some gym wars with some of the best. Shorty is confident that he will come to Vegas and beat Kui in his own backyard.

This should be a great fight to start out a spectacular night of fights! Only 10 days left!
